Search:
quick searches for a band or album title can be performed in the left side of
the page, right below the date and time. You can do more thorough searches by
clicking the
button on the top menu
Browse:
to browse, click the 
button at the top of the screen. You can browse the catalog several ways:
Check
Out: You
can check out by clicking 
on the top menu, or by following the "Shopping Cart/Checkout" link
at the bottom of the page. Whenever you add an item to your cart, you will be
shown your updated shopping cart.
Checking out is a 3 step process.
1. You are shown your shopping
cart and can change quantities of the items you've ordered (change to zero to
remove from your cart) click "recalculate" if you make any changes,
then click "check out" to continue
2. Next you enter your address and indicate whether you would like to join kill
rock stars or buyolympia mailing lists. There is a space for extra information
that you'd like us to know about your order. Then hit "continue" at
the bottom of the page..
3. Next you are shown your address and have the opportunity to make changes
if needed, and then review your cart, choose a shipping option, and change quantities
if needed. YOU MUST HIT "RECALCULATE" if you make changes at this
point!
**If you wish to order by mail with check or money order,
print NOW and don't continue!**
At the end of this page you enter your credit card information and finish checking
out.
You are shown a link to your order status page and may check on your order at any time.
You will be send a confirmation email when your order is placed, and another when it is shipped.
View item (browse and search results) pages
When you search or browse the catalog for items, the standard results (either searching or browsing) page will look like this:
a. A small photo of the
item that links to the "item details" page
b. The name of the band that links to the "band details" page
c. The name of the item (title of a release, usually) that links to the "item
details" page
d. The 
icon, that links to the "item details" page
e. A list of available formats and prices with "I want this" icons,
which you can click to add to your shopping cart
(items which are out of stock (
icon) and unreleased (
icon) may not be added to your cart). You can click on either of the blue "out"
or "unreleased" icons to add enter your email address to be notified
when the item is available.
Item details page This page has:
icon and the price and format. If it has an
icon, it means the item is out of stock,
icon means the item is not released yet. You can click on either of the blue
"out" or "unreleased" icons to add enter your email address

* What is buyolympia.com?
I thought I was ordering from Kill Rock Stars.
buyolympia.com is a local business that developed the shopping cart system for
us and is the actual store you are buying from. All orders placed through buyolympia.com
are shipped directly from the Kill Rock Stars warehouse. Your credit card transaction
will be listed as "BUYOLYMPIA.COM" because you are ordering from buyolympia.com.
* What are those funny
numbers in the address?
The numbers following "sid=" in the URL are used to track your cart as you shop.
buyolympia.com has chosen not to use cookies because they are currently too
unreliable.
* Help! My shopping cart
dissappeared!
Because of the way the shopping cart works, it is currently impossible to leave
the on-line store and come back and keep your shopping cart. You need to stay
within the Kill Rock Stars area at buyolympia.com to keep your quantities. We've
tried to make the site as accessible as possible, but we couldn't anticipate
everything. If you are experiencing technical problems while shopping please
email help@buyolympia.com and the problem will be investigated.
* Help! My computer
says something about a security certificate being invalid, is my credit card
information safe?
This is likely due to an old web browser. Please visit the following link for
