This is one of those special songs that stops you dead in your tracks when you hear it. Once I began chatting with the label about covering it, Slim shared a sweet anecdote about how he and Jeff used to be great friends before his untimely passing. This pushed me to breathe new life into this track, and it ended up becoming a lush, bass-driven, bossa-inflected, synth-heavy jam of sorts. I hope you enjoy it.
