Shelly Fairchild matches the July heat with her smoldering new single “Faithful To Freedom” - out now on KRS Nashville.

Shelly shares, “I went through a divorce. And I was done with love and relationships and trying and co-existing with someone else and all of it. D.O.N.E. Tired, and done. And then there she was. She had been there all along, but I didn’t see her the way I see her now. I remember the exact moment it happened. I remember the exact date and what I was doing. Maia Sharp and I had a writing appointment that very day and I had been going on and on about how I was SOOO done with any kind of serious relationship and love and all that. I had had enough disappointment and trouble with it. I was done. Period.

Then, I got a text from her…and everything shifted…with one little phrase…my heart started racing and I couldn’t feel my feet and Maia said… “Well, I guess you ain’t gonna be staying “FAITHFUL TO FREEDOM”. And we went right to her kitchen table and wrote it. Capturing the feeling of everything that was happening in real time. This song brings me back to that day every time I sing it.”
