Habibi have been described by The New Yorker as having “the Colgate white glisten of sixties girl group pop combined with an uncensored edge”. The band has released two acclaimed LPs; their self-titled debut and 2020's Anywhere But Here. Their Cardamom Garden EP broke boundaries by introducing Farsi-sung tunes, and the group contributed three cover tracks for Kill Rock Stars' 30th anniversary covers series in 2021.
